Melissa Brown, MS, LMFT

Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. She earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University where she received specialty training in Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, Parent Child Relationship Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy. Melissa is a trauma informed therapist who incorporates sensorimotor art therapy, attachment based EMDR and play therapy in her practice. Melissa’s areas of expertise are helping children and adults supporting during life transitions, and working with children and adults who have been impacted by childhood trauma. Her experience includes working in PK-12 school settings, agency work, including the SMU Center for Family Counseling, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, and in private practice.
